PERU POLICE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATION

The Peru Police Department employs 29 full-time police officers. The rank structure consists of the following:
  • 1 Chief
  • 1 Assistant Chief
  • 3 Captains
  • 2 Lieutenants
  • 6 Sergeants
  • 16 Patrolmen

Of these officers, one is assigned to K9 duty, one is the Peru Community School Resource Officer, two are assigned to the Miami County Drug Task Force, and six are members of the Peru Police Department Raid Entry Team.
